Aggregate & Subtotal

The AGGREGATE and SUBTOTAL functions do fairly similar functions. The main differences are:

• The AGGREGATE function was introduced in Excel 2010
• The AGGREGATE function ignores errors
• It can aggregate on a few more options than SUBTOTAL

SUBTOTAL enables subtotalling for counts, sums, averages, etc and enables subtotalling by ignoring rows that are hidden, which is very useful when doing dynamic sums, etc on filtered lists.
