Experiment service from Microsoft checked by default?

Hi,
Just wondering why "Enable Experiments" is checked by default?

Maybe it's not Microsoft telemetry, or maybe it's blocked in some other way by VSCodium?

As to whether to disable it or not. On safe side (if you don't want for it to alter your experience using vscode) I think you would want to disable it. But, I don't think microsoft would do something crazy. - kucing-terbang

Mostly wondering because I figured such aspects were the main reason to use VSCodium and I would like Microsoft to not be able to do anything crazy at all
