The character building perspective has no model explorer and shows instead at the bottom the validation view in which all rule violations for the active character generator editor are displayed.
You can switch the perspectives as you like with the show perspective in the windows menu.
The validation view get updated when the character changes you can flip the editor pages to change the character as you like and see the actual rule violations.
The character generator wizard is available in the character menu it help to create a character generator in a few simple steps. At first you need to select a generator kind
After selecting the container, the group and the rule system you are ready to finish the wizard and create the generator.
The new generator will be opened, if you not already in the character building perspective you will be ask for it unless set otherwise.
