steam-chatlog-to-text

A chrome extension that converts Steam webchat log to text format

Installation

1. Unzip "Steam_Chatlog_Chrome_Extension.zip" to directory of choice
2. Launch Chrome web browser
3. Go to url "chrome://extensions/"
4. Enable Developer mode (top right corner)
5. Click "LOAD UNPACKED" and select the location from step 1 that contains the unzipped files (manifest.json, popup.html, popup.js, etc)
6. White Steam icon with black border should now be visible in browser bar

Useage

1. Go to https://steamcommunity.com/chat/
2. Sign in and display chat window
3. Click in browser bar
4. Click button "Convert chat log to text"
5. Chat log will be reformatted and opened in a new browser tab
