Grid inside a panel?

Is there a way to create a grid layout within a panel? I see there how to create a grid inside of a dock view but I can't figure out how to create a grid within a panel widget that I'm trying to render. If this isn't available functionality at this time, that's fine, I'll just use a rich table or use rich columns inside my panel.
