I see #300 that adds the import feature
But then #350 that reverts it.
No comments on the commit that explains why.

Maybe this should be somehow documented?

Gone through collections, add personal collection ,import from file, made a multiple selection of .md files from a Joplin raw export and import them as notes but then jtx crashes if i open the notes tab.

The .md's are the default notes joplin creates on it`s first launch.

Hey, sorry for that issue!
About the revert: I think at one point there was a bit of a mess with the version because an urgent bugfix was needed, but it was just added again in the next version.

The error is caused by some markdown formatting and comes from another library. I'll have a closer look soon, I'm a bit busy those days.

In the meantime can you try deactivating the markdown option in the list? (Through the top menu)

Deactivating markdown from the top menu let me import the .md joplin exports.

there are 2 of them that are crashing jtx if i try to open them , generating the same exception.

Long taping on them let me edit them.

There is markdow syntax related to media in the notes.

The image is stored on a seperate folder in joplin export

if i remove this line this note does not crashing the app anymore

Images would be great but i can switch without them.
Adding them to notes later is some work (e.g. they must be resiesed) but i'm ok with that

i think for now a sed or find etc script to look in to a list of .md files and remove ![](: is doable.

It would be great if jtx could automate this

More than that the joplin raw export generates files that are not notes , like they contain no text e.g. image files.

These somehow have to also be addressed to not be imported

Filenames are long random strings so its impossible to tell from the filename if you have to select it for import or not.
