Hi,

This came up from an analysis meeting from today.

At some point (I believe October/November 2018) there was some work done to attempt to improve the gas sealing on the interface between the tracker volume and the calorimeter wall.

A new mylar film was constructed by gluing two sheets of mylar together. (I believe with stycast.) This film was hung inside the detector against the calo wall on the (Italian?) side.

This means that it is different on one side. In particular, there were question raised regarding the fact that the glue may cause a significant difference to the efficiency or energy loss of electrons as seen by the associated calorimeters.

We do not know if any further progress was made in simulating this or how important it might be.

I was asked to add this as an issue here for future reference.

Please be in touch with Cedric Cerna to collect technical details (foil tickness, glue tichkness and so on...) Implementation will be easy.
