Mid-release, the 10.8.24202 tag was somehow created, although the release failed:

* ❌ WhiteSource: FAILED - Outdated last scan. Build number doesn't match. WhiteSource: 24203, Release: 24202

This tag was somehow associated with the latest GH action run:

Which kept failing because

Using built-in Git...
Cloning refs/tags/10.8.0.24202...
Failed to clone: couldn't find remote ref "refs/tags/10.8.0.24202"!

This commit is meant to unblock this situation.
