What is a session file

You can save the data analysis results in PeakPo as a session file (either in ppss or dpp format). You may use the session file to share your analysis with your colleagues or later load into PeakPo for review.

What are the differences in dpp and ppss files

The dpp files contain all the information including peak fitting results. This is newer format for saving/loading sessions. Yet, the format is still less stable than the former format for session, ppss.

The ppss files have been session format for the previous versions of PeakPo. If you made ppss files from previous versions of PeakPo, you should be able to open those files in this newer version of PeakPo. The ppss files are more stable. However, it does not save your peak fitting results and cake setups.

(Recommendation) I suggest to save your sessions in both dpp and ppss files. I provide a push button which enables you to save both formats at the same time. It is available in the Main tab.

Where are the buttons

You may find push buttons for loading/saving sessions in the Main tab.

(Recommendation) PeakPo is not a commercial software and has some bugs. Sometimes it crashes. To prevent you from loosing your work by the crash, I strongly recommend you to save session files frequently.
