Control gray scale
In the Gray scale
box of the Cake2
tab, you can find the sliders to control the intensities for the white and black colors in the cake
image.
To adjust for a new image, first click the Reset
button. It will show a new max. value in the box above. The number is the maximum intensity found in your diffraction image.
Then, adjust the Scale
slider until you see some diffraction peaks. After then, you can adjust the Max
slider to fine tune the view. You rarely need to control the Min
slider, but sometimes it allow you to reveal weak features in the cake image.
Once you find optimal scale setup, you may not want to press the Reset
button. When you open other files in your dataset with similar measurement conditions, the scale will remain still pretty good for your cake view.
