Currently it's just a link "hide past" and "show all", I think it would be easier for users to discover that link (we got few complains in the past) if we show this inline, e.g. here is how Github does this for long issues:

It's fairly easy to do for "show all", but we need to figure out how to let users "hide past" after events being expanded.
