Christian Haargaard Olsen I have worked as a programmer in Biostatistics at Novo Nordisk for eight years, the last three in our Biostat HTA department. Over the last couple of years I have been one of the drivers of developing a tool in R for automating statistical analysis such as those required for AMNOG. We open-sourced our working version earlier this year, but in hindsight it would have been beneficial to start collaborations earlier to ensure a broad scope. I hope the HTA-WG initiative can help build early and targeted collaborations to ensure we develop the best possible tools. |

Joshua Soboil Consultant at Cogentia Healthcare Consulting. First got into R when studying comprehensive HTA modeling, integrating BUGS/JAGS and Stan. Haven't looked back since! It has been great to see the growing interest in R for HTA over the past several years. Currently, I focus on de novo model builds and the technical aspects of HTA, while also supporting strategy for industry in HTA submissions. In my spare time, I am a co-chair of the R for HTA in LMICs chapter, a chapter of the main R for HTA consortium. |
Hi everyone, Great to meet so many of you at the kick-off meeting yesterday. Let me fill-in a little bit about me, I'm looking forward to learning more about others in this working group. About me: My hopes for this WG, and what got me involved: |
Greetings Everyone, It was a pleasure to meet everyone during the kick-off meeting yesterday. The ideas generated during the session were truly inspiring, and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the Working Group. About Me Academic Journey Volunteership What Interested me to Join the Working Group: Through my participation in the R-HTA Working Group, I hope to gain valuable knowledge and contribute to building infrastructure, tools, and potentially authoring a white paper. I am eager to learn from and collaborate with fellow members of the group. Please feel free to reach out to me at tuhinjamespaul@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from others in the Working Group and being part of this exciting endeavor. Best regards, |

What a great turnout for our kickoff meeting - excited to see where we can take this! A bit about me: I have background in statistics and have worked 9 years in the pharmaceutical industry late-stage development and, for the last 4 years, HTA statistics. I head up a small team of statisticians and data scientists in Novo Nordisk that work with HTA statistics across the pipeline. I've used R for more than 22 years. Although I don't do much coding myself anymore (and am not the most active maintainer of my one public R package) I'm very enthusiastic about R and open-source as a platform for bringing people and perspectives together. I'm also co-chairing the HTA European Special Interest Group in PSI/EFSPI of >100 HTA statisticians across industry, vendors, academia and authorities - I look forward to help bridging between that group and this group! |
