Volume and speed counters above of "Disconnect" not displayed in notification area

Hello ProtonVPN Team,

Since you've released the ProtonVPN app on F-Droid, I'm giving it a try without installing through Google Play and it does work perfectly on my reset device with Google services completely switched off.

However, I've noticed something unusual in its notification area. When I'm connected to a server, the ProtonVPN notification does not display the data volume and speed counters above of "Disconnect" button. But during a focus on another app such as F-Droid, these counters are displayed perfectly, as you may see in the following screenshots.

I like these counters because they give me real-time information about how many data is used during VPN use.

It is possible to always enable the internet data volume and speed counters display in notification permanently and without hiding?

Note: my Android operating system is Android 5.1 (Lollipop).
