go-fsnotify-1.2.11+gitAUTOINC+836bfd95fe-r0 Fails to fetch in Hardknott branch

Interesting @ichergui , I just ran into this issue, which seems similar to #185 , doing a fresh build on the hardknott branch.

Yes, I ran the git submodule update --init --recursive command (though it seemed to not do anything). This was of course, after I cloned the tegra-demo-distro and ran the same git submodule update --init --recursive.

Interestingly the clone seems to work if I inspect the log:

The git submodules are not well done here. BTW, hardknott is deprecated branch.
Could you please use dunfell-l4t-r32.5.0 ?
Please check the WiKi page about branch to use.

Ah 🤦 - Thanks for the quick reply. I really can't believe I misread that wiki page, I definitely do not want to use a deprecated branch. I'm not sure why I chose that. I'll update to the branch you recommend and give that a go.

Is there any reason to not use Honister? Reason I ask is we currently use Jetpack 4.6 on some products so that will likely be a requirement going forward.

My answer was based on the Jetpack / L4T that hardknott uses (I thought that you need L4T R32.5.2/JetPack 4.5.1)

I recommend you to use dunfell because is LTS (Long Term Support) release.
