VkQuake mouse wheel scrolling very slow (like to use for look up/down)

Hi,
Is there any way I can speed up the mouse scrolling? I don't use mlook in games as I prefer the scroll wheel but in Quake the movement just inches up/down really slowly. If I assign keys to lookup / down they work at the normal speed.
