I've had this problem probably for months (if not years), but I haven't been bothered enough to report this earlier 😳. The issue is present on all my systems. They run Windows 10 and the browser is Ungoogled Chromium (the official Windows build).

Basically, the update check only works when clicking the Chromium Web Store extension icon manually. Otherwise, it doesn't seem to check for extension updates at all. My assumption is based on the fact that there is never a number icon over the extension icon unless I click it manually and force an update check this way.

Is there any way I could help investigate the problem? If I can gather debug logs or such, I'm open to do it.

The extension version is v1.5.4.3 and the Ungoogled Chromium version is v129.0.6668.70, but as mentioned above, the problem has been present for a long time.

The update check is of course enabled as follows.
