Dj-AmazonClone

Dj-AmazonClone is a web application built with Django and JavaScript, designed to mimic the core functionality and design of the popular e-commerce platform, Amazon. This project serves as a demonstration of how to create an Amazon-like shopping experience using modern web development technologies. It includes features such as product listings, a shopping cart, user authentication, and a streamlined checkout process.

Getting Started

  1. Clone this repository to your local machine.

  2. Set up a virtual environment to isolate project dependencies:

    python -m venv venv
  3. Activate the virtual environment:

    • On Windows:

      venv\Scripts\activate
    • On macOS and Linux:

      source venv/bin/activate
  4. Install the project dependencies:

    pip install -r requirements.txt
  5. Run the migrations to create the database:

    python manage.py makemigrations
    python manage.py migrate
  6. Start the development server:

    python manage.py runserver
  7. Visit http://localhost:8000 in your web browser to access the application.
