I have set up a MF6 density dependent flow model. My concentrations are in mg/L. I am using DENSEREF = 1e6 and DRHODC = 0.7. Storage is not simulated.
The goal of the model is simulate the migration of a brine placed at depth. When I run the model, the simulated heads in the brine lower are than the surrounding heads:
I would have expected the opposite (high concentration = denser water = higher head). I have looked at the computed density (saved to binary using density FILEOUT densityfile.dns) and it looks correct.
Why would the heads be lower in the high concentration area?
