The app ui currently seem to be slow compared to jerboa for Android.

This is an interesting question, is there any screen in particular which looks laggy or does it affect all screens in general?

There may be some recomposition issues in some screens.

The problem is kind in the whole UI with few exceptions.

I don't know if the problems are from the backend or frontend.

But for example loading posts take longer time than Jerboa.

Ah ok, I thought the app as dropping frames in a perceivable way (e.g. when scrolling)... if timelines/community details/user detail/post details take a lot of time to load it is because on Raccoon does not cache posts and comments internally (e.g. in a local database) whereas other apps probably do.

In the old ages, I thought about using a library like Store but I never found the time to do it. I'll leave this issue open because it serves as a reminder for me to investigate Store which I would like to learn to use.
