In the README, I suggest flagging the effort required to read this article.
I suggest at least introduce a Table of Contents.
Possibly also consider a "reading time", although I expect that will vary a lot depending on the English skill of the reader, or if the reader stops to provide feedback in the form of issues such as this. :)
