Mod Configuration

This section gives information regarding this mod's configuration, including how to change this mod's settings and the meaning of each option.

Opening the Settings Screen

1. Open the mod options screen of Minecraft Forge:

• If you are in the main menu with the Minecraft logo, click on the "Mods" button. Note: on Minecraft 1.14.4 and above, this is the only way to open the mod options screen.

• For Minecraft 1.8.9, 1.9.x, 1.10.x, 1.11.x and 1.12.x only: If you are in the game, open the game menu (usually by pressing the ESC key), then click on the "Mod Options" button.

2. Select "HBW Helper" in the widget on the left side.

3. Click on the "Config" button below the widget.

Depending on the Minecraft version you are using, the look of mod settings screen varies. On Minecraft 1.14.4 and above, it looks like this:

On Minecraft 1.12.2 and below, it looks like this:

Those two different screens provide the same set of core functionalities on changing this mod's settings.

Options

Show resource generation times

This option controls whether diamond and emerald generation times are shown on the Heads-Up Display (HUD).

Show team upgrades

This option controls whether information regarding resource generation speed on your base island, traps, and other team upgrades are shown on the HUD.

Show armor information

This option controls whether armor information is shown on the HUD.

Show status effects on HUD

This option controls whether status effects information is shown on the HUD.

Always show status effects

This option controls whether status effects information is shown on the HUD when you are not playing Bed Wars. Enabling this option would allow you to use this mod as a status effect HUD mod. If the "Show status effects on HUD" option is disabled, even if you enable this option, the status effects information will not be shown.

Position of HUD

"Horizontal position of HUD" and "Vertical position of HUD" allow you to adjust the location of this mod's user interface on the HUD.

Current Dream mode

This option lets you choose the current Dream mode game on Hypixel, so you may join a Dream mode game from the Bed Wars Quick Join menu.

Keep clicking on the button for this option in the settings page to cycle through the list of Dream mode games until the name of the current game is shown.

Mod Settings on Minecraft 1.14.4/Above and Pre-1.14.4 Versions are Separate

If you have installed HBW Helper on a version of Minecraft older than 1.14.4, and you upgrade to 1.14.4 or above, your original settings for this mod will not be applied, although they are preserved and will still be applied if you go back to the old Minecraft version.

If you have installed HBW Helper on Minecraft 1.14.4 or above, and you downgrade to a version of Minecraft older than 1.14.4, your original settings for this mod will not be applied either, although they are preserved and will still be applied if you go back to 1.14.4 too.

This is because Minecraft Forge has changed the format of configuration files as of Minecraft 1.13. The new format and the old one are not compatible.
