Missing Recipe unknown subcrafts discovered.

Hello, I play on Catseye and noticed there was a recipe missing and after investigating it was due to unknown subcraft levels.

So I did some research and have found two seperate JP sources giving the same number for the recipe so hoping that would be enough to get it added?

Item is Adman Sainti (NQ)/Gem Sainti (HQ)

If it is missing from LSB make a issue about it, or make a PR for the missing recipe. But if the issue is on CatsEye, that is something to discuss with them.

From my understanding it is LSB that hasn't included it. But i thought this is the place to go, it is their forum, is it not?

Well this is discussions tab, any issues would mostly place in Issues Tab or if you able do a PR "Pull Request" that able to add it in

A few thoughts as more of an observer these days...

Personally not familiar with that second wikiwiki site that was linked. Do not see a way to find any cited data for that listing either... but did note it has not been updated since before we last tried a large scale sifting through of the LSB database a couple summers back:

That site's landing page appears to show a lot of submissions dating back quite a few years (to summer of 2018). Much of it appears to still be incomplete listings. Of the 24 citings there involving adaman, did not see a submission for adaman sainti (or sainty as it may get translated).

Without being able to verify otherwise, my gut feeling is this entry may have basically been scraped from another site... likely the more popular wiki that was also linked in the OP.

So unless something can be cited elsewhere that aligns more with the JP Wiki data that was also previously cited in the LSB entry's comments, the LSB entry may likely remain as it is now:

Grr... phone freaking out translating these pages in the background... hopefully these post OK.

It is less about finding another site that lists the same recipe and more about being able to verify it somehow.

For example, that first site has a history page where they track changes made, such as this entry that mentions in game testing:

Unfortunately, did not see an entry there for the item in question.

Many sites rarely divulge how/where they are getting their data... we often see they are just repeating someone else's data, which is what that Ameba site appears to be doing:

LSB is the source that is passed out to everyone, then they may add/customize as they see fit for their servers from there. So anything put in LSB is likely to go to everyone... bad data entered here and accepted as "good" is likely to get replicated without ever getting validated/corrected.

So, basically, they want us to do our best due diligence to make sure it is retail accurate before changing things here.

I understand and respect that. I'm just trying to think of a way to actually verify those numbers. What would it take for LSB to accept them if they are indeed correct?

Some have been trying to do that and submitting changes to the wikis as well as submitting PR'S here, but not much work has been done on the crafting front for a while.

As mentioned, there is an open issue on the synth_recipes.sql file if you want to get more involved. Someone had posted info on testing things in retail:

Also be mindful of circular reporting, where a piece of information appears to come from multiple independent sources, but in reality comes from only one source and was copied to other locations. Wiki's are very susceptible to this type of error since anyone can edit them.
