GCRCatalogs v0.16.0

This new release contains no user-facing changes.

For developers

A major change in how catalog paths are specified in the yaml config files is introduced in this version. In particular, all paths should now start with ^/ to indicate that they are stored under a specific root directory on NERSC. This change allows the actual path to be automatically resolved when a user loads the catalogs on different servers.

GCRCatalogs v0.15.0

This v0.15.0 release contains several new catalogs and minor improvements. Most notably, the object catalog and metacal catalog for DC2 Run 2.2i DR3 are now available. You are all encouraged to try them out!

New catalogs:

DC2 Object/Metacal for Run 2.2i DR3

• Object catalog: dc2_object_run2.2i_dr3 (and a single-tract version for testing purpose: dc2_object_run2.2i_dr3_tract3830)
• Object catalog with metacal: dc2_object_run2.2i_dr3_with_metacal (Note that this composite catalog has 6 fewer tracts than dc2_object_run2.2i_dr3 due to missing metacal data; they will be supplied in a later release.)

Buzzard v2.0

• The buzzard catalog now points to Buzzard v2.0 (alias of buzzard_2.0.0_3)

Improvements

• Method get_quantity_info now work on several photo-z catalogs (thanks to @morriscb and @sschmidt23).
• Quantity snr_{band}_cModel is now available again in object catalogs.

This release will be installed on DESC environments on NERSC shortly (thanks for @heather999).

GCRCatalogs v0.14.5

This release contains several new catalogs:

GCRCatalogs v0.14.4

This release adds the dc2_metacal_run2.1.1i catalog and fix the definition of mag_{}_cModel for HDF5 DC2ObjectCatalog. A few other fixes made to the schema for DC2 object catalogs.

GCRCatalogs v0.14.3

This release (v0.14.3) includes the Run2.1.1i object catalog (dc2_object_run2.1.1i) and also makes the object catalog reader work with generic filter name (such as CFHT filters; thanks to @boutigny for pointing this out.)

GCRCatalogs v0.14.2

This release (v0.14.2) of GCRCatalogs includes updates to existing catalogs and readers and new add-on catalogs:

• update the mag errors (for photo-z) add-on for cosmoDC2 (#375, thanks to @morriscb)
• AGN add-on for cosmoDC2 (#374 #376 #377, thanks to @evevkovacs)
• update to the DC2 parquet object catalog reader (#370, thanks to @wmwv).
  (Note that while this update does not affect catalog users, it is a backward incompatible change for catalog creators. In particular, this updated reader won't work on older version of parquet object catalogs that do not have the FLUXMAG0 column.)

GCRCatalogs v0.14.1

This release (v0.14.1) of GCRCatalogs includes a bug fix to visit-based DPDD catalogs (e.g., DIASource). Thanks to @wmwv for fixing the bug (#367).

GCRCatalogs v0.14.0

This release (v0.14.0) of GCRCatalogs includes significant performance improvement to most Run2.1i object catalogs and bug fixes:

Bug fixes:

• Fixing a regression that was introduced in v0.13.0 and affects DPDD catalogs that are split by visits (#360, thanks to @reneehlozek for noticing the bug)

Improvements:

• Significant performance improvement for Run 2.1i object catalogs (DR1, DR4) (#363, with help from @wmwv and @EiffL)

There are some (but very few) catalogs that have been renamed. If you encounter any issues, please list all available catalogs to identify the catalog that you need.
