take_photo not responding

Hello,
I use the API on two Hero-8 GoPros connected via usb ethernet. Everything works fine but when I take a picture with the take_photo method, it takes the photo and then the program freezes. I have to interrupt with ctrl-C to run another request otherwise I cannot do anything.
Any idea why I have this issue ?

I am having the same issue: GoPro Hero 4, python 3.10 (tried also with 3.9). The same happens with shoot_video method.

I have the same issue, running on win11 hero 7 black.... :(
