Classic Ui - The OMNIVision

A basic track analyzer.

The Graphs

  • Green - this line shows the amount of notes being played in the MIDI simultaneously.
  • Blue - this line represents the amount of active voices (in Final Fantasy XIV; this is independent of parallel notes).
  • Yellow - the point at which environmental and player sounds can begin to cause voice limit hits.
  • Red - the voice limit in FFXIV. Reaching or exceeding this line will cause a report to be generated in the MIDI Report.

The MIDI Report

Any voice limit incidents will be recorded in this section.

Parallel Notes Report

This indicates places that a potentially problematic amount of notes are being played at one time. This may or may not contribute to reaching the voice limit. If you reach the voice limit and have untrimmed chords or many notes being played at the section of the song where voice limit hits occur, consider reducing the number of notes being played.

Active Voices Report

Any records generated by reaching or exceeding the red line will cause voice limit hits in-game where notes will get cut off and you will look silly (you may or may not want that). This can be remedied by reducing the amount of simultaneous notes played/trimming chords, changing the instrument(s) played, or a number of other factors.
