Crash Report

Crash excerpt when trying to leave the pocket plane.
Crash excerpt when trying to go through the planar gateway inside the pocket plane.

At some point during my playthrough the data inside the file that stores Thaumic Horizons pocket plane data (pocketplane.dat) got erased. The file still exists but only has 1 line of what I assume is just a header (compared to multiple lines of data in a healthy file). The existing pocket plane and its gateways still exist and you can enter the pocket plane, but any attempts to leave it or use a planar gateway inside it result in a crash. Does not look like any other world files were affected.
Looking at my surviving backups the erasure happened at some point in 2.7.1, as the file is still populated with data in the last backup of 2.7.0 and my earliest available 2.7.1 backup 9 days later no longer has it. Repeating 2.7.0->2.7.1 migration with an old backup did not reproduce the issue. Backup restoration feature has been used on several occasions in that time.

Replacing the file with the 2.7.0 version fixed the issue, but I assume that's only because I have not added new planes or gateways during that time and I would get the same crashes if I used ones with lost data.

Final Checklist

  • I have searched this issue tracker and there is nothing similar already. Posting on a closed issue saying the crash still exists will prompt us to investigate and reopen it once we confirm your report.
  • I can reproduce this crash consistently by following the exact steps I described above.
  • I have asked other people and they confirm they also crash by following the exact steps I described above.
