Your Proposal

I propose 3 possible solutions:
Solution 1: Add shift/ctrl/shift+ctrl click to allow skipping through 10/25/100 IDs at a time. The numbers I chose are arbitrary but the goal is clear. This would make selecting satellite IDs for crafting modules/pipes much more convenient. I am not a mod developer therefore I don't know how easy/difficult it is to implement but it is likely the easiest of the 3 solutions.
Solution 2: Add a box to write the ID into directly.
Solution 3: I saw in the 1.12.2 version of this mod that satellite IDs are text names instead of numbers you need to click through. That is likely the most difficult solution to implement but it would be the best.

Your Goal

To link a crafting module/pipe to a satellite pipe, you must click through every existing satellite ID on the server, one at a time. Even at a few dozen satellites, the need to click through every single ID can get annoying and I think it would require an auto clicker to be usable when setting many recipes.

Your Vision

Being able to select the ID with less clicking would make setting up early autocrafting with LP less painful. It is very much a needed QOL for life for people who like the mod and is a nonissue in a more modern version.

  • I have searched this issue tracker and there is nothing similar already. Posting on a closed issue saying I like this feature please reconsider adding it will prompt us to investigate and reopen it once we confirm your report.
  • I believe there is nothing similar in the pack already, or the existing solution isn't good enough.
  • I understand this change request may not attract enough attention and thus not be implemented.
  • I understand this change request may be rejected due to other community members thinking it's inappropriate.
  • I believe this feature would make the pack better.

Edit:

I would also like to extend this suggestion to the priority selection, satellite ID selection with the advanced satellite upgrade module attached, fluid crafting satellite, and related modules.
I noticed when selecting the amount of fluid there are already + and - buttons for certain amounts per click. This is similar or maybe even exactly what I would love to see for ID and priority.

The idea is correct, but most likely no one will do this on the old interface of logistics. One of the developers started to transfer logistics to ModularUI2, but for now he took a break (according to him, there is a lot of stuff mixed up in the code of logistics and the process is going hard).

I already have 219 satellites and I do this - I break the pipe that connects the machine to the general network, then only the nearest satellites remain.

I have a big list of logistics updates, you can add your ideas there so that everything is in one place.
