betterquesting.quest.yPj3r4-lQB6EVR5qagKzvQ.desc=The steam machines you have been using until now have served you well, but there will be a time when you need to process even more items. That's where so-called multiblocks come in. There’s a variety of steam multiblocks available to you now: a washer, centrifuge, macerator, compressor, and forge hammer.%n%nGo have a look at the GT++ quest tab!

While it does accept an output hatch for recipes that output a fluid, it does not allow for an input hatch.

However, the processing time per ore is so low that you can sustain your beginner's ore processing system with it!%n%nThe main reason to switch from this is the HV Macerator, which unlocks a slot for additional byproducts gained from the macerating step of ore processing. # Quest: Steam-powered Multiblocks
betterquesting.quest.quLxATDCQFWsrZRuh_gspA.name=Steam-powered Multiblocks
betterquesting.quest.quLxATDCQFWsrZRuh_gspA.desc=You should have quite the collection of single block Steam machines by now. While these may have gotten you through processing small amounts of materials, there will be a time when you will have to process a multitude of items. This is where multiblocks come in.%n%nWhile these multiblocks have a material cost that is way higher than their single block counterparts, they have certain bonuses: they use less steam, and they can process recipes in parallel, which means that a single recipe cycle can craft multiple items at once, if the steam provided is enough to sustain it.%n%n§TThey do however have some quirks that need to be taken care of:%n%n-These multiblocks require §4§lvery specific§r I/O blocks, use only those that are part of the quest %n-They process 8 items * Tier, where Tier 1 is made of bronze and Tier 2 is made of steel (checkout the Multiblock Preview in NEI which will show you different levels of tiers)%n-Like other multiblocks they will void the items being processed if they run out of energy (in this case steam) mid operation%n-The Tier and amount of parallel processing can be seen via WAILA if you are looking at the controller block%n%n§W§3With this quest, you have started your journey with GT++ Multiblocks. However, don't get too excited quite yet. While there are some multiblocks accessible in the Steam Age, most of them only unlock in EV or later, including better versions of these multiblocks.

# Quest: Force Plasma - The Mk1 Ending
betterquesting.quest.tSCw6KSbR8a4TCNWlrmkYQ.name=Force Plasma - The Mk1 Ending
betterquesting.quest.tSCw6KSbR8a4TCNWlrmkYQ.desc=Once you have the two plasmas from before, fuse them together into a new one, Neon Plasma. If you were to use this directly, you could get Neon! There are other, more useful materials to get later in this process, so keep a lookout for those.%n%nHowever, this is not the final plasma in mk1 recipes. To get it, you need to do the last activation step, which exists in all three chains, and involves adding a non-plasma related material, of the appropriate GT tier, to obtain the powergen plasma. The material you need here is Bedrockium, one you probably have used before. The early game, Compressed Cobblestone method of getting it is a huge burden, so switch to t8 Void Miners or the Space Elevator to automate this.%n%nIf you look at the last recipe, you'll see it's 144L Neon Plasma input to 1000L Force Plasma output. This multiplying makes it so that step, and all final steps, are the slowest ones. You will need 0.144 Neon Plasma reactors for every Force Plasma reactor, which means that 1 Neon reactor feeds nearly 7 Force reactors (6.9444... reactors, more precisely).%n%nOnce you get Force Plasma, this is the end of the mk1 fusion chain. Force Plasma is a 150M fuel value plasma, which means it has a 53.5%% penalty with Infinity Catalyst in XL Plasma Generators. This is better than Helium Plasma with its 86.1%% penalty but still not great for power generation. You probably don't need this in ZPM, but it'll be a stepping stone for your future progression.

# Quest: Pressure washing!
betterquesting.quest.zorY0c3BQuqLJp7ThOLG-g.name=Pressure washing!
betterquesting.quest.zorY0c3BQuqLJp7ThOLG-g.desc=If you have been processing the ores you have gathered up until now, you will have come across a variety of crushed ores. Since these are quite dirty, you will have to clean them up to get certain byproducts. But how do you clean up this multitude of crushed ores? By using a Steam Washer, of course! With a steady flow of steam and a bit of water, you can wash away impurities and get purified crushed ores in no time.%n%nIf you’re tired of waiting forever for your ores to clean up, this is your fix!%n%n§3This multiblock has two modes, the default washer one and a simple washer mode. Simple washers process ores considerably faster, but they do not give byproducts. Like other multiblocks, the mode can be toggled by the respective button inside the GUI or by right-clicking the controller with a screwdriver. Since all ore washing recipes are LV, this multiblock can run all of them.

betterquesting.quest.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKyg.desc=This produces power out of Rocket Fuels. To see how to make them, look at the Space Race tab. These are specifically GT++ Rocket Fuels, and automating them for powergen in this multi will also provide you with endless fuel for your space travels.%n%nThe math regarding the Rocketdyne is complicated. Looking at the controller's tooltip helps, but the main gist of it is like this: provide Carbon Dioxide and make sure it doesn't run out, choose the EU/t you want to get, calculate the amount of fuel you need for the fuel you will use, and then provide enough Liquid Hydrogen to boost the multi, according to the EU/t value.%n%nYou will always want to have the Rocketdyne boosted, for several reasons. Assuming you have at least a buffered IV Dynamo Hatch, outputting close to the maximum on that hatch will lower the fuel efficiency, but not if it's boosted. Additionally, this multi doesn't consume fuel continuously, but with intervals of 1 second between consuming and not consuming, while generating power all the same. Boosting this consumption results in huge fuel efficiency, combined with the high fuel values of the Rocket Fuels.
