Everyone in the project can upload in ExPaNDS's Zenodo community, but we ask you to please apply these good practices. The curator of our community is Kat 🙋♀️, she will check these before accepting a new entry. The following sections follow the fields to be filled when making a "new upload" in Zenodo (only available to logged in users, but you can use your GitHub or ORCID account). Here an example of a good ExPaNDS Zenodo record.
- always upload .pdf files, the native file is not mandatory (see issue #30) but you can add it as a second file if you want
- if it is a deliverable, please make sure it is the exact same version that is submitted to the EC portal
- look for "ExPaNDS" in the
Community name
field and add it
- use Zenodo's feature to
Reserve DOI
to include the DOI in the file itself as much as possible (:warning: mandatory for deliverables) - add the
ORCID
of authors that have one - you can find most of them in the project's who's who - include
Keywords
one by one with "add another keyword" otherwise they can't be used as efficiently in the search feature - try and use similar keywords as previous publications, use standard vocabulary whenever possible
⚠️ if you're uploading a deliverable that was not yet formally accepted by the European Commission, please add the following sentence in theAdditional notes
field: "This deliverable is not yet approved by the European Commission."
- look for ExPaNDS in the European Commission (EU)
Grants
field and add it
- add the document's references as
Related identifiers
, by default using the "is cited by this upload" relation type - use other types of relations if they are relevant, the important part is to think of using this feature because it makes links between records machine-readable and gives more visibility to both cited and citing material
- if any, add the document's reviewers in the
Contributors
field, by default using "Other" for everyone
