Biounits are best for viewing biologically relevant multimeric complexes. However, RCSB biounits are typically created only in PDB. It should be easy to apply the various transformations in the mmCIF depositions to create biounits as we need them. Unfortunately, there are bugs in biopython to slog through.

There are some examples in the PDB where a Human chain is in the DBREF
427836b 
but only one residue is resolved, and it is a heter entry.  These
are of no value to the pipeline and must be skipped  #16
