I was just wondering if I could install the 3.0 Template update for a mod that was created using an older version, or if I have to make a new mod

Hi,

The reddit post has a google doc that covers the upgrading difficulty and challenges that may arise from upgrading from a older template like MAS, Remastered Templates, and 2.0 era templates but in a bit of a brief saying

Yes you can install the 3.0 template on a project with a old template, however it is recommended to transfer your code to the 3.0 files first then upgrade if you really want to. I highly suggest starting new and transfer code as MAS uses a advanced_scripts folder which no longer exists in recent templates and will cause conflict with the upgrade process.

Also for general questions on the template, it is better to use the Discussions tab than Issues as this is to report bugs in the template than general discussion.
