Shape events

I would like to know if it is possible to capture some shape events like when I connect two shapes with a link or edit a link. My use case is, that I want to open a form when two shapes are connected and set the custom properties of the link or establish the relationship between the objects represented by shapes. I am currently using it for a workflow designer but I would also like to use it for a domain entity designer.
