According to the World Bank, as at 2017, 53.7% of Nigeria’s total population by headcount ratio, lives in multidimensional poverty, whereas, in digital development, only 36% of the population uses the internet as of 2020, with annual GDP per capita growth at 1.2% in 2021. From this stated data, it can be deduced that there is poor access to technology due to the significant ratio of poverty and inequalities in Nigeria, and all these lead to poor economic growth.
