New Add-on for GD and SAAS - Pay Per Lead #2755
Comments
Yeah it's doable, a few questions:
|
1 I believe it’s a one-time fee (eg $10 per lead). |
Ok, id prefer we build it. I think a custom table and a custom block should do it. We need a detailed spec of his requirements. For ux, how do es the listing owner view leads, popup or new page? Once paid i guess they just reply directly via email? |
Let me reply to the guy and see if he can give us more details.

Message from customer: Thank you for your interest in my little project. Depending on overall cost, I would definitely like to work with you if it is to become a supported extension for GeoDirectory. I would use this feature in my upcoming directory that I am working on and potentially in some other future projects as well. I think it will work really well with the claim listing idea where the directory owner can offer a zero-risk option to the new would-be listing owner (i.e. if I can generate some leads, would you consider upgrading to a paid listing, etc.) In order to keep things simple and to keep development costs low, I was thinking of a simple email system whereby the list owner will receive an initial email with some of the details of the enquiry (like the message from the one making the enquiry and maybe some further fields that the directory owner can define, such as a reputation, or time on the directory, etc.) to get the listing owner interested in the lead but not the contact details of the one making the enquiry. Also in this initial email will be a payment link for them to "buy" the lead, like an invoice through GetPaid. This could be a fixed amount but for my personal use I actually want it to be a percentage of an "offer" field, another field that was also filled in on the enquiry form so that the lead payment is like a commission on the value of the lead that it generated. (I think it should be easy to do but it is not essential for the functioning of the plugin - a fixed amount will work fine if it proves too costly to implement a commission model). Upon paying the fee through the payment link in the first email, a second email is sent that contains all the information of the enquiry, including the contact details and whatever other fields are included by the directory owner to give the promised value to the recipient of the enquiry. The above is all I need for my purposes. But to make things more snazzy if it was to become an official extension for GeoDirectory, you may want to include a console in the listing owner's UsersWP Account page - similar to the ratings or comments section. From here, the listing owner can see all the enquiries they have received for various listings with a pay button to reveal the full details of the ones they would like to follow up on and the full details displayed for the leads which they already paid for. For low-value fixed-price leads, there could be a token system where listing owners can bulk-buy access to multiple leads (I think GetPaid already make provision for this). For my purposes though, I would like to have the variable commission payment model so each lead will have a different price based on an offer that was made by the one making the enquiry. There will still need to be emails sent to the listing owner, the idea is to garner their interest in using the directory as the recipients of the leads may be disengaged if they were initially introduced through the "claim your listing" business model. That would represent the Rolls-Royce of the plugin/extension. I'd be happy to discuss further details and costings for the project via Zoom or Google Meetings. I am currently in the UK so I am on the GMT time zone. Thank you. B. |
A simple plugin/extension that will allow for the insertion of a contact form on listings. But instead of giving the contact details of the one making the inquiry, it will only give selected information (such as the message text) to the listing owner. For the advertiser to see the full details of the submitted contact form, including the contact information of the one making the inquiry, the listing owner must pay a fee. This may even already be possible through a combination of hidden fields on the listing and/or email sequences, i.e., invoice-like emails and receipt-like emails with merge fields from the listing and the user profile of the one making the inquiry.
@Stiofan this guy is willing to pay $600 for this: https://geodirectoryexperts.com/?post_type=gd_job&p=4798
We could tell him we split the bill ($300 instead of $600 to implement this), but we make it an official add-on so also he gets better support once it's released. What do you think? PLease let me know so I can reply to him before making the job public to all experts.
