I would like to add placeholder text on an input field.

The ability to add placeholder text to text input fields.

Considered description texts on the fields, but it does not seem fitting for small examples of what the field should contain.

I would not rule it out, placeholders are a common feature and can be very useful when used right. The main reason why we haven't included placeholders yet is that they are harder to make accessible. Our thinking is that the description text should cover the uses for a placeholder without the problems associated with them.
