Can location be tracked with the app minimized (in the background) with "always allow" permissions?

There are lots of discussion on this elsewhere, but not here for this package. I've implemented this package in my app, and it works great when the app is in the foreground. However, it cannot track the location in the background if location permissions are set to "only while using the app". It's not realistic to expect people to set their location permissions to "always allow" because it sounds like the app is intended to never stop tracking location even when closed, which is not my intent. Is there a way to track location when the app is minimized (in the background/another app in foreground) with this package, with permissions set only to "only while using the app"?
