Idea
A mobile application is proposed that uses augmented reality to project a doctor with whom the child can interact by speaking, listening and observing in order to learn about its anemia, its treatment and strengthen their knowledge about it by answering questions to stimulate their understanding of its situation.
Allow children between 3 and 5 years of age to have an application that helps them better understand their diagnosis of anemia due to nutritional iron deficiency using augmented reality technology on mobile devices.
It is proposed that the application can be used by children between 3 and 5 years old whenever they want to better understand their diagnosis of anemia and the foods that will help them improve their disease and who do not have a constant real doctor, in this way they will be able to learn by playing.
- This project proposes the use of cloud-based augmented reality technology called WebAR.
- The proposed application will be a mobile application following the guidelines of the hackathon.
- The project is of great interest and can be used as a support tool in the treatment of anemia in children aged 3 to 5 years.
- 3D doctor projected in Augmented Reality through the camera of the mobile device.
- Voice recognition of the child to certain words that trigger a verbal response or action of the Doctor in the style of a ChatBot.
- System of recognition of errors and successes to strengthen the child's knowledge about anemia.
- Personalized monitoring of the child's diet.
- A personalized database of the child's food based on their allowed and not allowed foods (in the case of an allergy, for example).
- Java Android
- Google's ARCore
- Amazon Sumerian
- Amazon WebServices
- The project lasts approximately 1 month after the idea is approved.
- Availability from 10 to 15 hours per week.
- The participant has all the tools at her disposal to develop the product.
- The application can be maintained for free as long as 100 monthly views are not exceeded.
- It is proposed that the target audience be parents or guardians whose dependents are between the ages of 3 and 5 and have been diagnosed with Anemia due to insufficient iron in their diet.
- The functionality will depend largely on the clarity in which the child can articulate simple words, in the case the child does not have the ability to speak, she will not be able to use all the functionalities and will need the help and guidance of an adult.
The following image shows the proposed doctor who is being displayed thanks to Augmented Reality through the mobile device camera in an app developed using the previous specified technologies.
