On the Humic Acid Removal subteam, we are investigating the optimal PACl dosage to encourage flocculation (and subsequent removal) of humic acid (aka. HA) from influent water in an AguaClara plant.
Previous semester's mission statement: Investigate the effluent humic acid (aka. HA) concentrations with coagulant dosages increase for certain HA influent concentrations using a spectrophotometer and turbidimeter. Design experiments to compare HA effluent concentration trends for different HA influent concentrations.
