Hi Justin,
We have since back-tracked on AIMSICDL and rendered it deprecated. The AIMSICD problems and huge lack of functional understanding is too great to overcome. It's simply too hard for FOSS developers to revive a dead dinosaur. So the app need to be re-built from scratch and that development will take place in the AICDm repo. The laundry list is in issue 1.
I know this is a great cause of confusion, but AICD ("acid") will be mega minimalisitic, super portable and very flexible in terms of detection's and device support. It is designed to be part of ROMs and hopefully and eventually a standard OS integration to device manufacturers.
I know there was a rationale issue on the AIMSICD repo, but I was hoping we can define here what needs to be done. Perhaps in a more granular fashion.
@E3V3A could you provide a laundry list of things to tackle in the codebase?
